Tony Varrato grew up in Millsboro, Delaware in the USA and graduated from the University of Delaware in 1988. He has taught in Vineland NJ, Selbyville DE and Georgetown DE. He is both an author and high school English teacher who knows his audience well. He wrote this novel specifically for the reluctant readers in his classroom, and others like them. In his words, "They wanted something fast-paced, actionpacked, and short."

When not teaching or writing he enjoys getting outside as much as possible, kayaking, running, hiking, skiing, biking and trying to learn skateboarding from his own kids!
